It is suitable for lifting items when attached to a forklift (sold separately). This boom is made of welded structural steel with a powder coat finish for strength, durability, and resistance to corrosion. The minimum hook point is on this boom attachment is 36" and has a 6,000 lb. load capacity. The maximum hook point is 144" and has a 1,800 lb. load capacity. The fork pockets on this boom have one usable space each that measures 2-1/4" x 7-1/4" (H x W), and centers that are 24" apart to accommodate the tines of a forklift.
